Got out and tried a few different angles.  Little video of Kai Lenny and

Great video "Inn", thanks for posting.....it helps seeing some of the best (Kai) fall a couple times here and there.

Makes me feel less inept, and gives me more encouragement to pull myself back up onto the board once again, after another wipeout.

For What it's worth.  Kai killed it in huge epic sunset.  H e had a couple of nail biters in the simi and qtr in sone slow heats.  He killed it in the final.  I am down loading the video and will do a lower quality encode to get it up.  I will make a new post.

whole thread about this here somewhere and IMHO it wont help especially here in Socal-always gonna be haters even if Jesus himself came down! Surfers barely tolerate other surfers-at least here in Socal i dont see the SUP hate fading anytime soon-hope im wrong. Other surf mags forums are full of people now hating JOB cuz hes riding a sup, whatever-have fun-surf where you can and your abilities allow you to be safe and others and just have a good time!

I invite the SUS haters from the other forum to air their thoughts to JOB, Kala and Kainoa McGee directly on the beaches of the North Shore.

I'm sure those guys would love to hear how lame they are for riding standup boards in double overhead surf.

I wouldn't feel bad for us because it really doesn't bother me one ounce.  Yes, at a local place that I go is around a very well known break where SUP guys just don't go.  So I've had many many comments in the parking lot and as I'm paddling around that break.  It's never really turned into a confrontation because it doesn't get to me.  Doesn't matter what goes on, I will continue going there and it really doesn't bother me what's said or done.  I know I am going to have fun and have a great surf sesh so if they choose to get bothered or grumpy, that's their choice but it won't be mine.
At the end of the day, I always have a great time!

totally agree, i always have a huge smile surfing in socal breaks.  I don't hear much negative thing when im in and out of water.  When you have big smile and a lot of fun, how could others be mad.  Just be repectful of others when SUS, everyone will have a great time.
Back to the video, i would like to see more vid of pro paddling out on those huge white water.  im getting better paddling out but still an't nail it everytime.

I'd also love to see the "unedited" version with more footage of getting in and out. That was the craziest part of watching the HB event. Kai and others would just crash through like there were no waves on their way out. (It was waist high at best) I'd love to see what they were doing at Sunset.
