Dave Kalama Testing His New Shapes
« on: February 06, 2012, 01:51:03 AM »
They look good to me. There's a few guys testing new Kalama shapes--Junya, Chris P. and of course Dave. There's a video on his site: http://www.davidkalama.com/2012/02/testing-my-latest-shapes/

I'll second that they look like they ride really well.

Bill, Do you know if he plans to go into production with any of them, or is he just keeping them as a custom thing?

I assume he's going to do a deal with one of the boardmakers that have  good distribution. It's pretty tough to build out a dealer and distribution network and get production going by yourself. He certainly wouldn't have any problem getting dealer attention, and the boards I've seen look great.

It will be interesting to see who he ends up with.  I'm sure he'll have his pick of the litter.
