Thanks H2Oman - I'm particularly interested in the 8'5" and 7'11" - the width looks narrow but there's always more to it than width alone.  I'm on the Naish Hokua 7'8" now and loving it but always interested in my next favorite board.  Thanks

I Demo'd the 8'5" TL back in March.

My take:
Nice Colors and finish.
Board is heavy for it's size and from what you'd expect from Infinity.
I like the shape and the rails.
Not keen on the fin placement, front side bites are too far forward.
Creates stiff handling even in quad.

Performance:
This board has adequate flotation for me at 185#.
Sits flat on the water at this displacement.
Down the line the board really accelerates and holds.
There is a lack of tail rocker combined with the forward fin placement
making this board hard to power off the tail and kick out.
I tried many fin configurations.
Quad was just too stiff with the fins being spaced so far apart.
2-1 is much better but still stiff.
The last fin combo I tried worked as good as I could expect.
Scimitar Side Bites and a 6.5 Hatchet (Futures), forward in the box for
as loose a set up as I could make it.

The Testing was done at a beach break with barreling waves for the most part.
Head high waves breaking down the line.
I suspect that at a more gradual break this fin set up might work well.

Hope that helps,

Ralph
