Hey SoCal- saw those pics of CD on Facebook this morning posted by the World Tour. Looks like they're getting some seriously fun waves. Bummer he got bumped, but it'll free you guys up to hit the Patch tomorrow. CD was ripping!

watch the live feed on regrettably poor quality at standupworldtour.com
click on the live feed through Ustream.
Terrible quality though and camera dude is high or has turrets or something-but at least you can hear the announcers and get something.

I dropped in for lunch and caught the first men's heat.  Those guys are really good and the waves looked fun is all I can say. Wish I had more time to stick around for the rest of the day.

I watched most of the second-to-last heat, They called the semi and main for tomorrow since the swell was getting poor in the wind. Some really amazing surfing. Zane Schweitzer was great to watch, Brandon Rose really ripped it up and transferred. Didn't see Kai or Connor surf but I heard both were great and both transferred. Aaron Napolean was awesome, really showed some style and power. Score a big, big one for the geezer division.

The bar has gone sky high. I think any one of the performances I watched would have won in a SUP contest a year ago. The guys that DIDN'T make the cut were awesome, they just didn't get the right wave in the shifty conditions. There wasn't a spot you could count on to deliver a wave--they were all over the place. Local knowledge helped a lot.

I went and watched the first couple heats this morning, then went and caught a few myself at Bolsa.  The best part about all these guys is that not only are the incredibly gifted surfers, but they are all quality people.  Very personable and stoked on the sport.  They are great representatives for the sport.

Getting air off the lip on a SUP.  I'm speechless.
