Kai Lenny at the Standup Showdown Southern Oregon Coast

Heads up for  you paddlers on the west coast that want a chance to see Kai Lenny rip in person.  June 16th through the 19th The Inn of the Beachcomber and the American Windsurfing Tour is showcasing some of the top Stand Up Paddlers in the world in Gold Beach Oregon.  The stand up showdown will feature World Champion and 2 time winner on this years tour Kai Lenny.  Kai will have his hands full with  Top Starboard surfer and world tour finalist Zane Schweitzer and fellow Naish teasm member Bernd Roediger. 

The contest holding period will run with the AWT Pistol River Wave Bash and follow the World Tour Judging formate.  I am putting up $1,500 in prize money to kick start the event.  The Standup Showdown will pay $750 to the champion, $500 for the runner up and $250 for third.  The plan is to run the Stand Up Paddle event during the morning until the famous Pistol River winds kick in. Kai and the rest of the windsurfers  will be putting on a show.
