Great race.  One thing I noticed was the cadence was roughly 50/min and pretty much all Hawaiian.  Connor's stroke is a little different with a little higher cadence.

The Aussies on standupzone showed great restraint in not posting until now.  They would have known about the results since yesterday.

Conner paddles with his top hand on the shaft, not the knob most of the time.
I guess that works.

In some cases whatever works right. Cant really make him any slower cause he's not. Some things just needs to be left alone I guess.

Who won again? ....  ;D .. We all watched it live on our computers..  :D

It's Sunday morning here and I expect them to announce it a public holiday for all to celebrate tomorrow.

Btw.. You guys need to watch how we do our surf ironman events on telly and improve the coverage.. Still good though.. Who won again?.. ;D

What was the distance on that race?  Did anyone with GPS or something track the distance?

I think I heard them say it was about 7 1/2 miles.

This race would be so much better to watch live if they found locations where the break was closer to the beach and if the course was more centered on the judging stand / spectators.

The wind here on Maui lightened up on Sunday after epic downwinding for OLukai race on saturday.  If it was light here Sunday then Oahu musta really been light.  Olukai was unreal conditions, especially out of the gate (my notes on the other Olukai thread).  I had several racers in the same frame, all gliding.  Going to take some pics off and post because my vid might be awhile before I post.

Back from fun in the sun.
What a great weekend.

THANK YOU to everyone involved in putting on the event.

Distance race was just that - - a distance race - - not much wind or swell.
