Must have been tough for Kai to not to sail in the AWT opening event.  But the guy has to defend his title...

In head high waves when he is on the 8' Hokua (his favorite board) its going to be really hard for anyone to beat him. His talent combined with one of the best surfing SUP boards out there is simply a winning combination and may be for some time to come. Maybe Kai can match Kelly's record. It will be interesting to see how things play out in Tahiti.  Thanks for posting the footage Admin.

This guy is Antoine Delpero, frenchman and young famous longboarder, #3 last year in the suwt.

Kaï killed the final in a few minutes. His second wave was 7 points potential wave, he scored 7.25 with the 360° cut back.

lack of funds from sponsors compared to a 1 star asp event? i dunno. we need to get all of these live (watched the whole sunset comp and was loving it)
