Hi,

The Quickblade Kanaha has a buttery smooth feel in the water and the cleanest release of any paddle I have tried. I personallly use the Kanaha all carbon 100 sq inch blade size with the P40 (EVA wrapped) handle. This paddle feels more powerful to me than the Nitro at my 158 pound weight.

Kind regards,

Not necessarily easier. The theory with the Nitro is less stress at the catch. You're dipping a narrower blade at the catch point. With the QB (with same sq inches) you're dipping a wider blade tip and subjecting your body to more stress while reaching way out there.

The 2011 Nitro has more flex in the shaft.

You really need to find a buddy with a QB and test for yourself. I switched from QB to Nitro (same blade areas) and find the Nitro easier on my body, with quicker acceleration.

I'm a big Kanaha fan. My race/downwind paddle is a QB Elite Kanaha, my surf paddle is a Kialoa
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Quickblades come in 3 blade sizes (90, 100, and 110 sq inches)
They also come in many shaft stiffnesses.

Check this out - and then pick the combo that is best for you.

As for using one - - Hell yes - best paddles on the planet!
