Everyone knows guys like Kalama-Ching etc.. are amazing paddlers and are the best paddle technique instructors-but if you could SUP SURF with a person of your choice to teach you SUP surfing-who would it be?!
Patterson-McPhillips-Lloy-just throwing some names out-there are actually a lot-guys stateside-overseas-too many to mention but who would you pay to hang out with for one days lesson!

Im in for Tommy Lloy-just like the speed he gets-his backside is all time-has the tricks-the noseriding-the 360's-just my favorite sup surfer to watch.

Kelly Slater. Might as well pick the best surfer on earth. I'd also like a lesson from Rob Machado, since he's a goofy foot.

I'd go with Dave Kalama because I really like his style (fluid, but high-energy, top-of-the-wave ripping with powerful bottom turns and cutbacks), and I know he has a real knack for taking things apart and explaining them. It doesn't do much good to try to learn from someone who can't relate to where you are.

The downside is that he's happiest in waves that would have me locking the car doors with me inside.

I had the same vibe about Lloy, after seeing him surf and meeting him. He seems like he might also have the right head to teach people, although, Chuck P would be in there too.

My pick is my son Jace. I pushed him into his first wave at age 8 and ever since that first year he's dragged "Dear ol Dad" right along. He surfs or SUP surfs everything he can get his hands on.
