Fletcher from California did shoot Pipeline on his waveski. There was something like 30 surfers there. He said "they were not stoked to see me".

Did i say nothing in previous spot? ok, i don't speak alone  Cheesy

Well, i'm working on a prototype of "standup waveski surfing" paddle. I will make the second blade soon. It will be the same blade than the black paddle.

The making of:

the "regular blade":

The "handle_blade":

This concept is a mix of the inuit kayaking technique and the SUP technique. I hope to go on "sitting paddle" or "knee paddle" even "stand up paddle", well in two words: "surf paddle".  Wink

You can see there a way to hold the paddle. This technique is over 2000 years old.

I've tested this paddle today in bad conditions: 18 knots of side shore wind, small waves with 6 second period, cold. But wow! i'm stoOOKed! Here are some new perspectives: I can either do knee paddling or standup paddling or why not sit paddling. Knee kayaking paddling is the faster. I guess duck dive is possible whith knee paddling. I've had some new sensation in the take off.
While surfing the first wave, i 've felt some advantage.
I can't wait for next session without wind tomorrow!

Well not so much wind, waves were not so bad but it's far from pipeline.  i videoed myself: i've let the camera in the van, press the button on and then i went for a few waves:
