What the biggest difference between the Bark 12'6"

surfteck with the kayak bow and the surfboard style nose?  I gotta imagine in smooth water the kayak style is faster, but is the surfboard style faster in downwinders?  I'm seeing both styles in race boards.  I'm drawn to the long race boards because I love the glide and hat the slap of a longboard nose in a chop.

Any insight?
