PSH 9' 2" Wide Ripper feedback
« on: January 18, 2011, 01:49:19 PM »
Thinking about pulling the trigger on the PSH 9'2 Wide Ripper progressive series board.  I have not been able to find any reviews on the board.  If anyone is riding this board, I would appreciate any feedback on the board's performance and how you like it.  Fin set-up would be great too.  Thanks.

Don't have feedback for that board in particular but as far as fin setup the PSH quads are just killer on my 9'3 Ripper.  Go with the quads if you get a Ripper.

Thanks for the tip.  I have heard alot of the guys really like a ripper with quads.  I have also heard it makes the board a little more stable.  Here is a pic of the board.  I would not get the pink rails though.

I had my first paddle on the 9 2 yesterday.  Reefbreak about 700 yds offshore in bumpy conditions and only waist with the odd shoulder set.  Tippy compared to my Naish 9 6 quad, but so much better on the wave.  Faster, looser and paddled onto the waves as easily.  The wave has a sucky end section and it felt way more comfortable than the Naish.
Looking forward to some better waves.
Running Lopez quads.

Twimby,
Sounds good and thanks for the review.  Did the board come with the PSH quad fins or just a tri fin set?

Thanks,

VB

Hi VB
Came with cheapish plastic fins in a 2 + 1 set up.  The one I have is a swallow not a pin.
I also bought a rear fin the same size as the Jerry's so I can try as a thruster
