Breaking news - the British Parliament has been suspended because of a firearms incident outside Parliament in London and on Westminster Bridge. The situation is ongoing so it's not clear at this point exactly what is happening but it looks like a car has been used to mow down at least 5 people on the bridge, and a man stabbed or attacked a policeman outside Parliament, and then someone was shot (probably the attacker) outside parliament. Details are still coming in, but the area around Parliament is shut down and our government is being held inside while security deals with the situation. It is not clear at this point whether the bridge attack and the one outside parliament is part of one incident or two separate ones.
On the one year anniversary of the Brussels terror attack, hmm.

Well I guess the current political climate has made too many people overly sensitive, which in itself is a sad commentary.  :-\
Figuring it's an old joke, I didn't expect it to be taken seriously by anybody.
Should I apologize?  Hell, I don't know, but I think I'll save it for now.

Ball point pens

When NASA started sending astronauts into space they quickly discovered that ball-point pens would not work in zero gravity.

To combat this problem, Congress approved a program and NASA scientists spent a decade and over $165 million developing a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside down, on almost any surface and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to over 300 C.

The Russians used a pencil...

Your taxes are due again in April

Careful, there's a lot of BS out there. Question everything.

..I would have so much buyers remorse if I voted for him.

That's very disingenuous, since it would necessarily imply that at some point you might actually have considered voting for him.

Bullshit. Not at all the case. Just an acknowledgement that Trump is a lying SoB who is screwing over the very people who elected him.
It feels like you're trying to connect with Trump voters on a shallow pretext.  No one is going to buy into that.

That makes no sense. How is it shallow if what I'm saging right? If you continue to support trump you're either retarded, rich (with no empathy) or just not paying attention. Most people will get totally fucked by this government. Just the fact that he denies climate science AND wants to shut down the EPA should have you so disgusted that you are embarrassed to ever consider voting for him.
Yikes, okay I'm pretty sure that most people have been "paying attention", especially here, so that just leaves "retarded" or "rich (with no empathy)".
The left often proves themselves as being labelers of those who stand to the right of what they feel is the only way to think.
Well you sure have proven that, we here to the right of you have now all been labeled, thank you, it makes me/us feel so much better.
But in reality, you make it very easy for me to consider your post as being nothing more than run-away emotionalism, masquerading as intelligence.

Unfortunately without expert governance. any and all of those things will have huge consequences.
You may have swerved into something that has no easy answer, "expert governance", where would that come from, our current crop of politicians?
Better yet, does our system even allow for "expert governance"?

Mostly rhetorical questions, no real need to answer.

The larger question is
Where can I get self driving Golf Clubs?
I read they're coming next, now that they've finished the self-driving screws.

But who needs them, anyway, since most golf club sets come with their own drivers.
I heard that Amazon is coming out with a new Alexa for the golf bag, you just have to ask it which club to use, taking out all the thinking required to play the game.  Now not only do you not have to think at home, but you won't have to think at play either.
Next the water proof version, "no, not that wave, wait for the next one", you just have to stick it to the deck of your board.

"It's not a religion of tolerance or forgiveness."  Yes? No?

I would say it is a religion of tolerance and forgiveness. Without a shadow of a doubt.
I would hazard to say that there are women all over the world that would disagree with that statement.
I guess the male domination of that religion and their life style, in regards to women, is okay with you.

You made me laugh. Yes, of course, I see the stereotype. Of course, there’s plenty of that. It just is that it isn’t the case everywhere. I’m no expert but I don’t think it’s a thing about the religion as much as something about the sophistication of the country. Even within the more progressive middle eastern countries you’ll still have a huge difference between the educated people in the cites and those in remote villages in poorer areas. But the same could be said about “western” nations (to a lesser degree). You should take a look at how many muslim majority countries have had female presidents and number of women in government and top corporate positions. Aren’t there muslim couples you know in the US where the wife “wears” the pants in the family? I know plenty. Women from the middle east can have very strong characters and be very charismatic and even bossy.

I think women in Turkey had voting rights before [all women in] Switzerland.

Of course in many of the countries where there are majority muslims they still are very, errr, what’s the right term, developing. Whole countries like Saudi Arabia who are downright oppressive. But that’s a measure of something else. Then there’s old traditions like it’s the men who hang in coffee shops. But hit downtown Beirut or Istanbul and there’s plenty of women out in bars, nightclubs having a good time just like you’d see in the west.

The sad thing is to see some of these things slip backwards. Just look at pictures of Tehran in the 70’s and compare to now.

I think the more there is hate and animosity the more it will slip backwards. We’re witnessing this in the war areas.
I'm really glad I made you laugh over something that's not really funny at all.
Never said "everywhere", I'm talking primarily about non-secular countries, and especially those countries (as well as areas w/in secular countries)where Sharia Law is the order of the day.
Unfortunately that seems to be spreading, in these supposed modern times, and not just in war areas, ask Angela Merkel about that for an example.  Discount it if you want, but I'll leave you alone with that opinion, I can't share it.

Boy did I have fun last night, at the expense of somebody else.
So last night Rachael Maddow promises all her sycophant viewers that she's going to serve them up some delicious juicy red meat steak, "I've got Trump's tax returns!" (which in itself may be against the law), and all that her anxious viewers get is an empty fortune cookie!
The more of her I see, the more she looks like, and acts like Dan Rather, and we all know what happened to Dan Rather. Just like Dan, she's trying too hard to reach too far down the rabbit hole.
Rachael Maddow is horrible, but boy was that fun to watch.
