Foil SUP / Takuma LOL v KUJIRA
« on: December 15, 2020, 08:17:23 PM »
Just picked up my new Kujira wings , so different from the LOL's . Don't get caught up in the numbers and think they are too small the 980 has just as much lift as the 1300 , haven't tried the others yet.

Foil SUP / Attempting to cross the Cook Strait by foil bike
« on: October 11, 2020, 05:19:08 PM »
Well this will be interesting:-

A Waikato company will attempt to use pedal power to cross Cook Strait.Manta5 launched the first hydrofoil back in 2017 and now they want to see the e-water bike become an endurance bike. It's been previously described very much like a plane with the propellers on the front of the wing.It also employs two carbon fibre hydrofoils similar in appearance and purpose to aerofoils used by airplanes, a similar technology that went into Team New Zealand's America's Cup yacht.

Foil SUP / Foiling Fiji Video
« on: April 11, 2019, 01:48:05 PM »
Finally put together a video of my Epic Fiji foiling trip 6 weeks ago . Some incredible drone vision shot by Chris Percy. Impossible to get the whole trip in so just featured a few shots from my favorite places. Looks so shallow but I never hit once foiling only paddling back out and for the first time ever never got a reef cut on a surf trip. I was riding my NP front and rear on my Sup & Med front and small rear on my prone.

Kick back , relax and dream of foiling this place is foil heaven. Best watched on a bigger screen to appreciate the magnificent colors. Keep an eye out at the end for when I foil under the tower at Cloudbreak

Foil SUP / Adjusting your rear wing
« on: January 20, 2019, 03:42:30 PM »
Just thought I would share as it really is amazing the difference one washer can make. Won't apply to GF users but will for a few other brands. I recently blew the boxes on a prone board and picked up another which had the boxes just a couple of inches further forward. I just couldn't get the mast back far enough and I was getting launched on the take offs . So I came in and put one washer in the front screw on the rear wing (down tilted ). It was amazing what one tiny washer could make. It basically gave less lift letting me snap to my feet easier and it also had more down force like a rear wing on a race car putting more traction on the rear tyres. So it felt heaps better turning with way more grip. This would also be handy for those sucky days on your Sup.

On the other side of the coin if your foil is slow or hard to rise put a washer in the back screw to "GIve More Lift" (up tilted)  check it out in the pic below.
