Downwind and Racing / Naish 17' question

I have been looking at the unlimited boards lately
The Naish 17' looks like a great option for flat water and coastal runs. low rocker.
I have a question about the rudder set up, any other options for the fin.
I need some weed shedding & the dagger fin does not look like it will shed weeds at all.

Is my Only option have a fin box installed?
Does naish have any other fins?

I ran into a friend of mine who was on the way back from Huki with a used surf ski.
He said that they might have something new in the works for SUP...
but he didn't get any details b/c his business of the day was to get his ski.
so i have been keeping an eye on this site to see what might be up.
looks very nice, and seems to be hollow const too

Random / 4th ticket in 14 months in CA

Got my 4th ticket in 14 months here in CA, this time i get pulled over and i am soo confused b/c i've change my driving habits recently to only go exactly the speed limit, the cop tell's me "i am giving you a cell phone ticket"... what? i was using my head set.
"no you had your right hand to your ear and you were talking on your cell phone", no i was pushing the button on my headset to turn it off, it takes 3 seconds to turn off my headset, i had just put the headset away, then i saw the lights.
"you can tell that to the judge and see if he believes you or me"

Damn, when i get a ticket, it is for something that i have done wrong, this is new to me... a citation for obeying the law.

Whatever!

Downwind and Racing / Hobie 12/6 racer?

Any one tried the 12/6 Hobie racer?
It has a "nicer" price tag than others. The bottom looks kind of like the Lahui Kai.
Can anyone compare this to a 14' racer?
I am a 200 pounder so i am leaning to a 14' custom.
