Another great video. You surf some nice wind and wave conditions.

I'm am glad you like to make these videos because I sure do like watching them. Also; I'm glad to see you put the model of the board, it's length and width in the description. Details like that is an added bonus when someone is looking for information various models of boards.

Thanks for sharing the video.

JEG. This is a great fun, light and manoeuvrable board when compared to my SIC Bullet 14v1 TWC. It is however narrower and has less volume so is more challenging tippy-wise. BP also make a 28" version and I think the 28" wide would be the one I'd opt for giving me more confidence and less tip in bigger conditions. Meanwhile in sub 20 knot conditions this 27" wide board is a dream. Fast and very responsive

One other thing is if you look at the 3 minute mark in the video above, this board does really well in recovering from a nose dive. Seems to pop right back up with minimum of speed loss. This is probably due to less rocker in the nose than the V1 Bullet as well as being thinner. I also find that it recovers well from pearling,  again seemingly re-aligning itself by slipping the nose sideways.

You seem to be having too much fun at the moment Off-Shore, we have heaps of wind in Scotland at the moment, just a wee bit chillier though ;)

Even the South of the UK was a little chilly yesterday. I had a upwind/DW/windy surf session and it was 1C (34F) with a biting F6 Northerly wind which according to my wind chill calculator means that it will feel like 20F or -6.5C to the skin. Even with 3mm gloves on, my hands were so cold it felt like my fingertips had been hit with a hammer.

Still fun though, and I had the waves all to myself :) And about a dozen people came up to me in the car park, wearing mountains of clothing, and every one of them asked exactly the same thing: "was it cold out in the water today?". Hmm... let me think...err...nah, it was toasty ;)

It's pretty annoying falling in when it's cold. Stable boards are a godsend then.

thanks Off-Shore and I reckon the 28"would suit you but the 27" would be a challenge if you're willing to work at it.

Hah! This is the best time of the year for us wind-wise and if we get blue skies it is a bonus so my one rule is if the wind blows, we cancel whatever we can on our schedules and get out!

I remember when I windsurfed in the UK in the 80s that February was the most miserable weather-wise, so I can imagine that it would take a certain craziness level (and the right gear) to actually enjoy downwinding in those winds of yours

I agree with you on this. I am doing a lot of balance and footwork drills on this board in the rough and it is getting more and more familiar, but still I think for the slightly reduced speed, the 28" would be more suitable as an all round downwind board for my level. Interestingly though the 27" width on my Starboard Ace feels completely comfortable, but I would not want to take it out in in these conditions..
