That is definitely not for me. That sail in front would blocks my front view and that is unacceptable for me.

Now if someone would just put a motor on a board so we could catch waves.

Which is why he should be using a kite, just leave the paddle strapped to the deck, kind of like playing basket/football.
Or even snow skiing at Jaws, oh wait, that's been done.

Yea,,,a fixed sail strapped to a board is going to be easy to controll when the wind decides to misbehave.

Stand up kiting = SUK

This downwind sail design is common in the kayaking universe. Anyone tempted by it should really try a down winder on an appropriate board though...

Speaking of which, supposed to be gusting to 40 up here (NorCal) tomorrow!
