I've got a couple buns in the oven. One for my wife, Mango Tango as she calls it.
8'6"x31"x 128L she likes to be comfortable but ride my shorter ones too!
My 8'2" x 30.5"x 118L
Trying out the new vertical carbon deck material with a hexagon patch and on bottom of the boards! Huey will be ready to ride Tuesday!

Great looking material (and a fine job). Where did you get that stuff? I've never seen it. Makes a lot of sense to have carbon running only in the fore/aft direction. What did you do for a schedule? I'd want to see those square weaves, seems like glassing over might make them disappear. The glass holding the carbon looks like 6oz or heaviers.

Its called XP138 it makes for a solid board i did my last 3 in it looks great on too of that spray!

The boards are being done by Terance Brandt in HB, Flagship Composites is his Company. He does the race boards for Hovie and uses these materials on his boards. This stuff I've been wanting to try for out a while. I'll get you the supplier details. I had it on my computer, but can't find it off hand.

XPIC 202 is the cloth used on top of the boards.

Build update, The Carbon Hexagon material on the bottom of the boards and as a deckpatch on the clear board is bombproof or pretty close to it. I like the vertical Kevlar on the deck too! It's not a cheap layup, but I think it will be pretty good for durability!

Those are some good looking boards! That carbon hex material looks great and sounds perfect for rails and deck areas. Definitely going to try some of this stuff out. How's the weight?

The weight is pretty close to the same as my other boards. The orange one, my wife's is lighter than her last one. The white one is slightly heavier than my last one, but I was going for bomb proof and has an extra layer on the deck. I'm a little hard on boards!
They both surf really well, feel wise.

My new board is holding up well and surfs good too! The construction with the Hexagon Carbon bottom and deck patch is pretty beefy!
There is good flex in the board, but doesn't feel to stiff.
