Title: Looking for a paddle
Post by: Kwolfe on July 18, 2016, 03:13:38 PM
So it's been a bit over a year now since I starting SUPing.  I have an generic carbon paddle and would like to upgrade.  When I got my OC1, I bought a Kialoa and now have the sensation of what a good paddle should really feel like from the catch to the release.

I'm 6' 195lbs and do 99% flat water paddling.  My current paddle is set at about 83"  Looking for a Kialoa, Ke Nalu or Quickblade used.  If anyone is looking to thin the herd, let me know!  Thanks

Kevin

You could go this route.

http://kenalu.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=4

I have been checking in on those sites daily.  The only problem is, Ke Nalu is out of the Maliko, and Kialoa has the Hulu but not in adjustable.  I would like an adjustable.  It's helps on days when the lakes are choppy, strong upwind run, or just out relaxing.

Plus I figure I might be able to help someone out and they help me  :)

Thought I would bump this one just in case anyone was thinking about thinning their paddle herd.   ;)

I'd PM Lane (I think he's LM) and see if he has any cosmetic rejects. The KeNalu blades come out of the mold finished except for trimming the edges, so any kind of divot or cosmetic error that would usually get sanded out and clearcoated with other manufacturers is a reject. Worth a try.

Thought I would bump this to prep for spring.  Also, if anyone has any OC1 or surfski paddles they want to sell I might be interested also.

Thanks
