That's a biggy! Does that mean she will be doing a Connor too.....riding the Molokai on a SIC dressed up in Starby colours?

Hopefully she can use her artistic flair to improve Starboard's woeful graphics and colour schemes.

Ha haa....that would be asking too much.....where would we be without the boring blue ;D. Hope she does well.....I always think she seems a genuine one and an amazing waterwoman. It will take some getting used to seeing her on the boring looking boards .....as opposed to the iconic SIC shapes.

Yeah it's extraordinary if the most successful female SUP racer doesn't have a board sponsor (does she?). I'm not so sure that she's much of a "team player" though so maybe she wants a setup where she can be the main focus, which may be harder with the bigger brands?

I can see that Starboard would want to make it a team double men/women win at the M2O this year after Kai managed to steal their thunder last year, and Travis before that.

Indirectly, it would still be good for SIC as all aficionados will see a SIC unlimited even in blue....

Maybe it has something to do with SIC changing hands again. Hopefully that will result in
a better executed catalogs.

What's the story with SIC, Burchas?

As I understand it, Neil Pryde bought-out Flow Sports share in SIC and now owns it.

Ditto, I doubt if Annabel would split from Brian Szymanski so easily.  He's shaped all her boards since day 1.  My question is:

What's the story with Lahui Kai?

A little SO CAL birdy told me that Lahui KAi was going to stop production due to a big bnch of boards that were failing structure wise. Anabel was using a custom for ppg16 anyways wasnt she ?

That was US distribution.

Is it more now?

"When you are downwind paddling, you must always focus on what is happening in front of you and never look back. When you are surfing a bump, you should always be looking ahead to see what is coming after the bump."

^^^  And yeah - sounds like she may be adding some artistic flair in some way as well.  Plus like her board choice.  Looks to be the 23.

"Sonni is a talented artist, and part of this new collaboration with Starboard will see her artistic creations on select Starboard equipment."

"Not only have they lost their top ranked athlete, high profile SIC athletes Kenny Kaneko (now with JP Australia) and Georges Cronsteadt (who joins the ‘Addicted 2 SUP’ pro team) have also switched camps in recent weeks in what must be a worrying sign for the brand." :o

Meh, whatever.  As far as I'm concerned - and more than a few others here) it's all about fun...  Not racing.   SIC still has what it takes to put a smile on your face.. I know what and  where my next board will be coming from.  8)
It ain't over until the fat board sinks....
