Maine shop Closing
« on: December 06, 2016, 11:42:51 AM »
Soposup will be closing its doors at the end of January.  All paddles and boards are 35% OFF.  Prices on the Inventory page are already marked down (does not include Kialoa, Werner and QB paddles).  www.soposup.com

I know what everyone is thinking. Why? Hopefully this a personal positive move.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

Sorry to hear you are closing Raf.  I just read the message on your website:

Well said, the impact our hobby has on the environment is something we should all be concerned about.

Closing at least for 2017. I hope to keep doing lessons and rentals, but the retail space will be gone.  Lots of reasons behind this move, but the biggest is I've hardly spent any time with my family in 6 summers and my oldest boy is now 13, so time is precious.  Its all good and I am excited to discover what the future holds.  Im also psyched to spend about 10 times more time on the water this summer!   8)

I just visited SopoSup and bought a SIC FX pro 14 and the price was right!!!! and the terms. I looked at a bunch of boards and easily could have walked out with two additional boards. Raf paddles all the boards, is an expert SUP surfer and I am sure would be an elite amateur racer if he had the time to actually paddle in the summer. I spent a fun hour talking about all the boards I was interested in, we had some laughs and both agreed we love the NH and Maine waters for their relative lack of giant, great white sharks. I left feeling like Raf got into it for the right reasons and is taking a break for the right reasons. I am having an ebay sale so I can get the 11'4 SIC Recon for my girlfriend. Honestly the prices are below wholesale, worth a trip.

My Buddy just bought two primo rec sups from Raf. My friend is an adaptive ski coach and we may use then to figure a program for adaptive SUP in the lakes region of New Hampshire.
