PPG wow
« on: October 02, 2016, 03:36:24 PM »
Just watched the tech race and the final results of the PPG.  Both womens and mens were very exciting and I gotta say Dave Kalama did an unreal job of commentating.  Cosell for boxing, Chris Berman for football and in this young sport of SUP, Dave is emerging as the best color guy for making this event very fun to watch for a spectator like me.

Also loved that top three tech result were from Hawaii.

Yep. The men's and women's surf races were THE most exciting two races with the BEST coverage in the history of our sport so far IMO. Fantastic!

Kalama is really great to listen to. And thank heavens we have Chris Parker on hand to pronounce the paddlers names correctly because that other guy has real problems with any name that isn't typical American - it's actually quite funny listening to him mangle them.

There was a great spectator turnout, and of course all the major SUP manufacturers were there.
