Red Paddle Co Cargo Net??
« on: April 02, 2015, 11:57:19 AM »
Does anyone have any experience with this this cargo net? I'm wondering if it fits the 10' Surfer, and if it functions well. Is it snug to the board when not in use? Worth the money? Thanks for your input....

My wife has one on her 10-6 Ride. It's a 2014 Ride and a 2013 cargo net. I think they make one size that fits all their boards. It works well for holding a water bottle and has a Small zipped pocket for things you don't want to lose. Also rolls up well with the board. I'm not sure what the 2015 version is like though. If you don't want to pay for one you can buy some bungee cord and thread it through the loops on the board but it will not be as good for securing things as the one Red make.

You can find cargo net at most fabric stores. Buy a square yard, cut out what you need and use rope or bungy to thread it through and secure it to your outfitting.

Had mine on the board and out in the water today. Not often you find a product that looks good, is well made, and is functional. I’d say the Red Paddle Cargo Net is all of these.

I think it is a great product. Here is the 2013 version on a 2014 Ride 10-6 used in conjunction with a dry bag / pack which fits perfectly. As you can see it also rolls up with the board well too.

We have the 12' Explorer, great board - indestructible and so well made. We leave it inflated all the time, it does not loose pressure. The paddle that came with it could kill a charging elephant - so that did not fly for long. We noticed recently that this board does not look like a banana like so many other inflatables do with the riders weight on it. (no affiliation have Fanatic, Exocet and Bic - love them all). The net like everything from this company is well made and well thought out as a system.

The couple of things funny on the RED boards is the deck skid plate that is supposed to shed the waves better, the side battens seam to far forward and the RED deck patch logo looks like it should be a pocket. Other than that they are awesome.
