New type of racing fin
« on: July 25, 2014, 01:56:38 PM »
Just got a new fin in from a company called Finautic. They started using aluminum to make fins and it seems fast, thin and has a nice look. It's as light as my other fins as well. Definitely different!

Thats wild! Cool find & I'd be interested to hear if the lack of any flex is noticeable?

looks great!  You know it is CNC foiled too..  What a finish!  Keep aluminum away from direct contact with carbon or it will dissolve from electrolysis.

That case is impressive. It looks more like a trophy, or presentation piece.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

Yes, beautiful.  I'd be tempted to get it bronzed.

I'll weigh it when I get a chance and let you know. Glowmaster, you had me worried about aluminum and carbon fiber bc my board is carbon fiber but then i realized that the standard US fin box is plastic :)

It doesn't say how much w/o the fancy box. :-\
Just a plastic bag would work.
It takes a quiver to do that.

Why? So it reminds you of the sailboat you had in 1970?
