The Starboard touring models in AST are pretty durable. Amundson is hard to beat for the combination of price, performance and durability in the standard lay up IMO. NSP has a good reputation for putting out a durable product.

I don't think that any of those companies would be as successful as they are if they didn't make good quality and durable boards.  In my opinion, it's like choosing between a Mercedes, Lexus, or an Infinity.  All are great products; they may be different in some respects, but all are top quality. 

What one person might think is awesome, another person might not like so much.  So somebody here might tell you about his/her favorite but it still may not fit your needs and desires.  Much of it is personal taste.  That's why trying one out is a great idea.

Best bet is to ascertain where the SUP you are interested in was built. All of the better boards mentioned above are built at Cobra International in Thailand. They've been doing it longer and have the most experience in this type of composite construction...  Paddle on,  JD

I don't think that Jimmy Lewis SUPs are built at the Cobra factory -? I thought most of them were made in Vietnam (?).
