Fin Replacement for Starboard Allstar 2014

Google VMG Blades Mako fin. I'm loving mine in my 14 x 24.75" fanatic falcon in all conditions.
It's area of excellence is definitely DW though. So maneuverable and forgiving.

What's wrong with the one that it comes with?

The fin supplied is badly finished, only profiled on one side & not straight.
I am amazed that a carbon board that costs a small fortune is supplied with a stock fin that  has been supplied across a range of boards for a couple of years now.
With design changes in boards are manufacturers saying that the fin has know bearing on the performance of a board.

Hmmm - my fin was fine. I have sold my Carbon Allstar now, though. I just wasn't happy with it, in more ways than one. Cost about £2000

Does anyone have any fin recommendations for a Starboard Allstar 14' x 28' 2014 model.

Looking for a replacement Fin to use in all conditions

As some will know, I tested find scientifically using this very board. My current advice is anything by black project or the makani. I'm expecting more test find shortly.

You only tested the fins under very specific conditions though. He OP wants a fin for all conditions. The right fin for flatwater may not be right for eg. surf races or downwinding etc.

Agreed. The perfect fin does not exist. His needs seem a bit hazy so a bit more detail might allow us to be more specific.
